Women and Water
There’s a powerful connection between women and water worldwide. While billions are affected by the global water crisis, women in particular face an entirely different trajectory.
My applied findings evaluate the qualitative and quantitative relationships between women-led initiatives, menstrual hygiene implementation, and the importance of female representation in social landscapes around the world.
My storytelling experience has illuminated various perspectives across a range of cultures in Southeast Asia, Eastern Africa, South and Central America. In seamlessly incorporating narratives into international program visions with the highest regard to ethical and political sensitivity, I have led organizational teams and conceptualized applied research into million-dollar development-driven campaigns. I have employed strong editorial judgment when disseminating content through a range of digital, print and social platforms for various target audiences. I have worked in sensitive and fast-moving news production with responses to disasters and political activism.
For three years, I told the beyond water story for a water organization that did so much more than WASH by telling the story of social, environmental and economic change for communities with access to facilities. The value of my time with Wine To Water taught me how to listen, how to use my talents as writer to give people space to tell their own stories, and how to let my words be a platform for influencing policy to reshape life trajectory for generations to come.
